Hi 1000FARMERS, This is Jacob van Etten. I am the project lead of 1000FARMS and also the originator of the tricot approach, many years ago (2011).

This was only a little seed, and the plant has grown thanks to many others who have contributed with their ideas and efforts. It is really exciting to see it grow into a fully developed approach, a digital platform and a community of practice.

I hope the tricot approach will benefit many researchers to do effective, demand-driven, and creative work. I hope that the community of practice will become a really good place for learning from each other.

My job is to lead the overall project. Any suggestions to do a better job are welcome!

Hi all,

I am Pieter Rutsaert, working as a market and value chain specialist with CIMMYT. We are using the ClimMob software for concept testing, a method in which we present hypothetical seed concepts to farmers and ask them to rank these products. This is part of the AGG project of BMGF and the Market Intelligence Initiative.

Hi everyone,

My name is Grecia and I help manage 1000FARMS. I am originally from Peru but I have been working in France since 2011 with CGIAR (RTB Program Management Officer with Bioversity, Program Performance consultant with SMO and GENDER Platform Management Consultant with ILRI). Although the tricot world is rather new to me, the 1000FARMS team and community will definitely help understanding the many different ways I can become a tricot champion.
